Prediction Method of Collapse Pressure of Deep-water Pipeline Considering Influence of Dent Length

摘要:Dents is a common defect of deep-water pipelines and will significantly reduce the ability of pipelines resisting external pressure and result in failure. In this paper, the nonlinear finite element method was applied to analyze the influence of the depth and length of the dents, ratio of the diameter to the thickness, and the ovality on the collapse pressure of the pipeline. A formula is proposed for predicting the collapse pressure of a pipeline considering the influence of dent length, which may provide the engineering safety evaluation of deep-water pipelines. ? 2022, Editorial Office of Ship Building of China.
