Failure pressure for high strength pipeline with single corrosion and corrosion clusters
摘要:Corrosion is the major reason of oil & gas pipeline failure, whereas corrosion cluster is the common corrosion pattern. Based on non-linear finite element analysis, the regression equations for failure pressure of high strength steel pipeline with single corrosion are proposed, the residual strength assessment procedure for high strength steel pipeline with corrosion clusters is proposed as well. It is concluded that the proposed method yields more accurate results than the method in the existing codes in comparison with experimentally measured ones. This paper can provide reference for estimating the residual strength of high strength steel pipeline.
