Key parameters of Zn ribbon drainage grounding for HVDC interference protection of oil and gas line pipes and their selection principles
摘要:When the grounding electrode of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system operates in the monopole ground mode, it will bring DC stray current interference to the nearby buried line pipes, so as to cause pipe corrosion and leakage, which will damage the safe operation of the pipelines. Zn ribbon is a simple and effective technology to prevent DC stray current interference. Due to the lack of systematic study, however, its key design parameters and their selection principles are not determined clearly. In this paper, the key parameters of Zn ribbon laying are studied systematically using the numerical simulation calculation method which makes use of the moment method to solve the Maxwell's equation set, including the influences of Zn ribbon spacing, position, diameter, shape and connection with pipes on the mitigating effect. And based on this, the key parameters of Zn ribbon arrangement and their selection principles are summarized. And the following research results are obtained. First, compared with the two-side peak method, the max voltage method needs fewer Zn ribbons to do the mitigation with a better effect. Therefore, it is recommended to apply the max voltage method to design the position of Zn ribbons in the actual engineering. Second, The use of short-distance zinc strip ground bed can significantly improve the mitigation effect of pipeline near zinc strip. Third, the relative position of the Zn ribbons to the pipes has less influence on the mitigating effect. Fourth, the Zn ribbons with smaller diameters are superior in cost performance. Fifth, increasing the number of connections between Zn ribbons and pipes has less influence on the mitigating effect, but it can prevent the overall failure caused by local serious corrosion. In conclusion, the research results provide a theoretical basis for the design of Zn ribbon drainage position under HVDC interference and reference and guidance for the design of Zn ribbon drainage protection. ? 2021, Natural Gas Industry Journal Agency.
