WATER BREAKTHROUGH BEHAVIOUR OF MULTILATERAL WELLS
摘要:The multilateral well has been increasingly widely applied thanks to the development of the multilateral well technology. However, the water breakthrough law of multilateral wells is not fully studied. This paper mainly deals with the relationship of particular parameters and the water breakthrough time, and with the water ridge morphology. This paper also studies the water breakthrough law of fishbone well in five-spot well pattern. Numerical modelling is utilised for the single factor sensitivity analysis of the parameters. Results indicate that the water breakthrough time has positive correlation with branch length, branch angle and branch number. The observation of the water ridge morphology indicates that the main water breakthrough point of the fishbone well is the intersection of the main well and the branches, and the shape of the water ridge is related to the shape of the well. In five-spot well pattern, the change of the branch will also change the distance of the fishbone well and the injection wells.
