Centrifugal Compressor Overhaul Cycle Optimization Based on Reliability Allocation
摘要:Developing efficient and cost-effective maintenance plans for centrifugal compressors is crucial for ensuring the safe operation of pipeline systems. This paper proposes a method for optimizing the maintenance cycle of centrifugal compressors in natural gas pipeline systems based on gas supply reliability. First, the Monte Carlo method is applied to establish a mapping model between the state of the compressor station and the reliability of the gas supply system based on the physical model of the pipeline system. To minimize the operating cost of the system, the reliability allocation (RA) for compressor stations is optimized, and the problem is solved using a particle swarm optimization algorithm. Furthermore, the optimal maintenance plan for the centrifugal compressors is determined by considering the logical structure of units within the compressor stations. This is achieved using reliability block diagrams. The new method is then applied to a case study of a gas transmission pipeline. The results indicate that the proposed reliability allocation method, which takes the hydraulic characteristics into accountetermines the maintenance cycle of the centrifugal compressors based on the target reliability, ensuring the gas supply reliability of the pipeline system. These findings provide significant guidance for optimizing the maintenance cycle of centrifugal compressors. ? 2025 American Society of Civil Engineers.
