Mobility-Aware Radio Resource Configuration for NB-IoT

摘要:Narrowband internet of things (NB-IoT) is a crucial communication technology for connecting everything. In order to expand the communication coverage and improve the reliability, NB-IoT sacrifices its performance metrics such as the latency and is difficult to adapt to mobile IoT devices. To meet this challenge, this paper proposes an NB-IoT radio resource configuration scheme for mobile devices. The scheme uses Kalman filtering to predict the mobile location of IoT devices, establishes a mathematical model to estimate the communication reliability, carries out quantitative analysis of performance metrics such as block error rate, delay and energy consumption, and proposes optimization models and methods of radio resource configuration. Simulation experiments based on real data sets are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the scheme. The experimental results show that the scheme can ensure the connectivity between IoT devices and the base stations while reducing the delay. ? 2023 Chinese Institute of Electronics.
