Structural geosteering constrained multi-trace sparse reflectivity inversion based on mixed norms
摘要:Inversion technology is widely used in the seismic field for an image of the subsurface reflectivity or impedance structure, which is more consistent with geological characteristics. However, the unconstrained traditional inversion method is intrinsically subjected to multi-solution and spatial-instability and may distort seismic facies in real-world applications. To address these limitations, we design the mixed-norm constraints, comprised of a temporal Lp-norm (0 < p < 1) and a structural geosteering L2-norm, and add them as regularization terms into the unconstrained traditional inversion. The structural geosteering L2-norm demonstrates a strong filtering response, which preserves the structural continuity or correlation among the multi-trace inverted results. Moreover, seismic reflectivity is probably a kind of pulse signal because of its sparsity. Therefore, the Lp-norm regularization, deemed as a sparseness filter along the temporal direction, is applied to characterize further the sparsity of reflectivity inverted from seismic data. The proposed multi-trace method can not only effectively preserve the continuity of spatial structure among traces, but also generate a more structurally- and sparsely-related solution. The rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by the test of the synthetic and field examples.
